The numbers generated by www.random.org were 1, 2, 5 and two people had chosen those numbers. They were Tinna-92 and Wolf-Chief. tinna-92 was assigned number 1 while wolf-chief was assigned number 2. One random number was generated which was number two, resulting in 396 Points going to Wolf-Chief as the winner of The Number Game Round 1. Congratulations! I hope you enjoy them <3

The Number Game Round 2

I have some Points that I want to throw back into the community, so I have decided to return to an old thing I used to do quite often. If you've been a long term devWATCHER then you'll surely remember this little game and how it works. If not, read on. It's all rather simple!

What's the Points amount?

396

(equivalent of a one month premium membership)

How it works

It's simple... you choose 3 numbers from 1 to 6. It's important to note that all numbers have to be different so choosing something like 3, 1, 3 will not be valid. Then you leave your lucky numbers in this journal (please do not note them to me).

After one week I will generate 3 random numbers by using www.radom.org. I'll go through my journal and see who has the winning numbers. In the event that several people pick the same numbers, I will assign a number to each name, generate a random number and pick the person that matches that number. Results will usually be posted on the same day. Something to note is that the order of the numbers doesn't matter.

End date: Thursday 16th December

The rules - please read

(1) You cannot have more than one vaild try (giving me one set of numbers). In the case of completely misunderstanding how the game works, giving me invalid numbers in the process, I may ask you to try again.

(2) This contest is open to everyone so feel free to have a go. However, there is one exception to this and that is if you're not overly active and not really fussed about needing the Points (either playing for someone else that you think will), please do not play. It's selfish to play and possibly win when there are others that could benefit more.

I hope you guys enjoy and good luck to all! <3

...back here. Hey guys, it's been a pretty long time since I've updated on here. Truth is, I have't been around on dA for about 4 or so months. Real life  just caught up with me. Between that time I stepped down from being head admin of birthdays after 5 years. It was sad, but I could no longer dedicate a lot of my time there, so I handed it over to the awesome Caektiems. It couldn't be in better hands.

So, as you may have guessed by this journal entry I'm active again. I'm going to be "returning" to dA once more, however, my time and activity here will be very different from how it was before and I've also made some radical changes. I won't go into details how or why, I just know that I need to do things this way so dA feels more enjoyable to me and less of a chore.

On another note, I will return all the llamas given to me since I was away. I'm  not about to break my word right now. Last, but certainly not least, thank you all for your lovely comments, favourites and devWATCHes. I appreciate it more than you know and have read every single one!

I hope you are all wonderfully well

Thoughts on favourites

If I had to choose one thing that has bothered me a fair bit lately then it has to be the whole favourites situation around this place. To think a deviation is only as good as how many favourites it has is complete and utter nonsense to me. I understand that some people may think "Well my art never gets that many favourites, so it can't be all that good", but it's not as simple as that. While some art that isn't that great indeed doesn't have that many favourites, consider the fact of how many deviations that aren't that good have many many favourites. So, are favourites really a good indication then of how good deviations are?

There are a good amount of deviations that are fantastic and deserve to bask in the glory of what is comments and favourites, but there are also a good amount of deviations that challenge high favourites of quality work, but in fact are mediocre at best. So what do you want? Do you want to have a gallery of deviations that whilst they don't have high favourites count, are consistent in quality or do you want a gallery that is filled with deviations smothered in favourites, yet your work leaves much to be desired? I for sure know what I'd like.  While some others that take centre stage with their mediocre work are under the illusion that they are good at what they do (and it's likely won't be improving any time soon), you have a chance to learn and improve your work if you need to and hopefully, get well deserved attention on your work. If not, don't worry about it. It's rather sad and screwed up (I myself sometimes get pissed off on behalf of others work that doesn't get much attention, while it goes elsewhere on unworthy pieces), but it's far greater to have good work and go under the radar then it is to be popular for work that needs to climb higher up the quality ladder

Birthdays Stamp Contest

I feel like a bit of a parrot at the moment probably due to the fact that I wrote a news article for it and also did a journal over at birthdays as well, but if you don't know about the awesome Birthdays Stamp Contest we've got going on at the moment, you should totally check it out! Lots of Points to be won and hey, it's a stamp contest, so it should be easy as pie to quite a few of you!

We could totally do with as much pimping and faving of the article as possible so that we can find our perfect and first official stamp!

DailyDeviants

As it stands at the moment, DailyDeviants are on a hiatus while they wait for new team member applications to roll in. This is such a great project and has been around forever, so if you love finding and featuring great unknown artists (specifically photography) and think you're up to the task to work within a great team, check it out and send in an application! Come on, you'll get to work alongside me. How awesome is that? :eyes:

Oh my goodness! Thank you!

A major thank you to all the comments and favourites I got on my recent DD Avera. I was so pleasantly surprised waking up that morning to see congratulations!

Also, in my ever so stupid ways, I decided to upload a new deviation on the very same day not thinking it would do all that well. Oh yeah, nice thinking there Zeta! It ended up being my most popular photo to date. Yes, even more than past DDs. Oh my God, I can't tell you how amazed I was by that guys. My first photo venturing into macro photography ends up getting a DD and my last photo ends up being the most popular. That to me is truly awesome because I was hesitant about it all at first. Seriously guys, thank you so very much for your constant support with my work lately. It's been blowing my mind in all sorts of ways!
